BETTA
Siamese fighting fish comes from Thailand & South East Asia. Because
of their popularity, they have been introduce everywhere.
The Thai name for a Siamese fighting fish is Plakat.
Pla: fish Kat: to bite
Betta Splendens come in a variety of colors and pigments. The most
common pigment is Melanin, and it usually makes the fish black or
brown. Other common pigments are Black or Melano, Cambodian,
Opaque, Pastel, Cellophane, Marble.
